Student admission to the Computer Engineering Master's Program is made according to the Erciyes University Graduate Education and Training Regulations dated February 16, 2017, Application to Graduate Programs, Student Admission and Registration Principles.

In order to apply for the master's program in Computer Engineering;

a) They must have a bachelor's degree in the relevant field or in the fields determined by the board of directors of the institute with the recommendation of the department.

b) They must have the ALES standard score to be determined by the Senate, provided that it is not less than 55 standard points from the score type of the program applied from ALES, which is centrally conducted by ÖSYM, or they must have an equivalent score from an exam accepted as equivalent to ALES by the Interuniversity Board.

c) Foreign students who graduated from a bachelor's or master's degree program abroad must have Turkish proficiency certificates from the Turkish Education Centers of State Universities and a certificate of equivalence or school recognition of their diploma accepted by YÖK. If these documents and other documents required by the Graduate School are completed, they can apply to master's or doctoral programs.

Applications are evaluated by the institute board of directors according to the following principles and successful candidates are determined by taking into account the announced quotas:

a) In applications, all grades of the candidate to be evaluated are converted into an evaluation over 100. In the graduation grade point average diplomas, the conversion table of the Higher Education Council to the 100-grade system is taken as basis in the calculation of the conversion from the different system to the 100-grade system for those who are in different systems (4, 3 and similar) and those who are only in different systems (4, 3 and similar).

b) In the evaluation of student admission to master's programs with thesis, if there is no interview and/or written scientific evaluation exam in the entrance exam; 50% of the ALES score, 30% of the undergraduate grade point average and 20% of the foreign language score, if any. In departments which an interview and/or written scientific evaluation exam is conducted, 50% of the ALES score, 15% of the undergraduate grade point average, 15% of the foreign language score and 20% of the interview and/or written scientific evaluation exam are taken. The total score must be at least 50. Candidates who do not have a foreign language certificate from YDS or an exam accepted by the Interuniversity Board will have a foreign language score of zero. Candidates above 50 points are ranked from the highest score and placed in the relevant programs according to the quotas announced. In case of score equality, the candidate with the higher ALES score is preferred. The candidate who does not take the interview exam is considered unsuccessful.

Students who come to the Computer Engineering Master's Program of our university through lateral transfer are subject to "ERCİYES UNIVERSITY GRADUATE EDUCATION AND EXAMINATION REGULATION THIRD PART ARTICLE 17". Foreign students who come to the Computer Engineering Master's Program of our university are subject to "ERCİYES UNIVERSITY GRADUATE EDUCATION AND EXAMINATION REGULATION THIRD PART ARTICLE 18". The students who come to the Computer Engineering Master's Program of our university with the status of special student are specified in "ERCİYES UNIVERSITY GRADUATE EDUCATION AND EXAMINATION REGULATION THIRD PART ARTICLE 16". Course counting procedures in the Computer Engineering Master's Program of our university are carried out according to "ERCİYES UNIVERSITY OF ERCİYES UNIVERSITY REGULATION FOR GRADUATE EDUCATION AND EXAMINATION SECTION FOUR ARTICLE 23".

Issues related to measurement and evaluation are specified in Erciyes University Graduate Education and Training Regulation dated February 16, 2017:

1. Exams are evaluated out of 100 points. The midterm and final exam results of a course are shown with a numerical score. The score of the exams that the student does not take is (0) zero.
2. The calculation of the success grade is as follows:

a) The average midterm exam score is determined by dividing the sum of the scores obtained by the student in the midterm exams by the number of midterm exams. Fractional numbers to be found in this way are raised to the nearest whole number.

b) The success score is calculated by adding 60% of the semester, year-end and make-up exam score and 40% of the average midterm exam score. The midterm exam grade is not taken into account in the single course exam. The success grade of students who take the single course exam is determined only according to the single course exam grade. In the calculation of these ratios, fractions are preserved, but in the calculation of the success score, fractional numbers are completed to the nearest whole number.

c) For each course taken within the framework of the graduate program, students are given a letter grade equivalent to the success score calculated above using the table below by the instructors:

ç) In order to be considered successful in a course; master's program students must have a minimum grade of CC and doctoral program students must have a minimum grade of CB. In order for the students of the scientific preparation program to be considered successful in a course, the minimum grades determined for the graduate program they are enrolled in are valid. In the calculation of the success grades of graduate program students who take courses from the undergraduate program, the letter grade determined by the evaluation method applied in the undergraduate program is taken as basis.

d) Students who are successful in seminar, thesis, specialization courses and other similar courses are graded successful (BL) and unsuccessful students are graded unsuccessful (BS).

e) Students who fail the course because they do not fulfill the attendance requirement are given a failing grade for absenteeism (DZ).

f) (M) grade is given for the courses that the student has taken and succeeded in any higher education institution before being accepted to the graduate program followed at the University, which are not taken into account in the calculation of the credits and grade point average required for graduation and for which exemption is granted.

g) The credits and grades of the courses taken from higher education institutions outside the university and accepted as transfer credits to the program are transferred exactly in accordance with the table specified in subparagraph (c) above.

Graduation conditions are stated in the Erciyes University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education Regulations dated February 16, 2017:

ARTICLE 38

1. In the master's program with thesis, the student must take at least 7 courses (one of which is scientific research techniques, research and publication ethics) and 60 ECTS, one of which is a seminar course, with a minimum of 120 and a maximum of 180 ECTS. has to.
2. At most two of the courses to be taken by the master's student with thesis can also be selected from the undergraduate or graduate courses offered in other higher education institutions, provided that they were not taken during the undergraduate education. In addition, with the approval of the advisor, courses can be selected from other undergraduate and graduate programs within the University. At most two of the courses to be taken from within the university can be selected from the undergraduate courses, provided that they were not taken during the undergraduate education. The total ECTS to be taken from another program and another higher education institution cannot exceed 30.
3. In case a course in primary education programs is given through both formal and distance education; Students who prefer to take the course via distance education are charged tuition fee based on the student contribution fee or tuition fee per ECTS calculated according to Article 46 of the Law No. 2547.

ARTICLE 39

1. In the master's program with thesis, the minimum period of study is 4 semesters and the maximum period of study is 6 semesters. A student can take a maximum of 45 ECTS courses in a semester. If the student is not successful in at least 8 60 ECTS courses at the end of the fourth semester (provided that one of these courses is a seminar and one of these courses is scientific research techniques and research and publication ethics), his/her registration will be cancelled.
2. Those who cannot successfully complete the master's program with thesis in four semesters, excluding the scientific preparatory program, can register to continue their education for 2 more semesters, provided that they pay the student contribution or tuition fees for the relevant semester, according to the conditions specified in Article 46 of the Law No. 2547.

ARTICLE 40

1. The thesis topic of the student who successfully completes the course period and the thesis proposal prepared in accordance with the thesis writing rules are presented to the head of the department by the thesis advisor at the beginning of the semester following the course period. After the subject of the thesis is examined by the board of the department, it becomes final with the decision of the institute board of directors. The same procedure is applied in cases where changes are required in the thesis. The thesis name can be changed with the recommendation of the advisor or thesis jury and the decision of the institute board of directors. If necessary, a thesis proposal cannot be made without the ethics committee report and/or the permission of the institution. In case one of the application-oriented methods such as art-based research or art practice-based research is chosen, the student prepares and submits his/her studies in the form of a thesis work report besides the thesis. Students whose thesis proposal is accepted by the decision of the institute board of directors fill out the Thesis Data Entry Form in the Publication and Documentation Department of the Council of Higher Education and submit a copy of it to the institute.
2. After the thesis topic is accepted by the institute's board of directors, the student has to register for the specialization course and thesis study course for 2 semesters starting from the beginning of the semester. Students who will submit their thesis must have renewed their registration in the current semester before submitting their thesis. Students who do not meet this requirement cannot submit their thesis. Conclusion of the master's thesis

ARTICLE 41

1. A student in a master's program with thesis writes the results in accordance with the thesis writing rules of the institute to which he is affiliated, and after examining it by the advisor in terms of compliance with the rules, submits it to the head of the department in five copies as a paperback to be submitted to the institute directorate. The student has to defend his/her thesis orally in front of the jury. In the case that one of the visual art methods for application such as art-based research or art practice-based research is chosen, the student has to defend his/her related work together with the thesis work report and a thesis explaining this work, verbally in front of the jury.
2. The master's thesis jury is appointed with the recommendation of the thesis advisor and the head of the relevant institute department and the approval of the institute board of directors. The jury consists of three or five faculty members, one of whom is the thesis advisor of the student, and at least one of them is from outside the higher education institution. If the jury consists of three people, the second thesis advisor cannot be a jury member. One of the substitutes must be from another higher education institution.
3. Theses are sent to the members of the jury by the relevant institute directorate. The thesis jury meets within ten days at the earliest and thirty days at the latest from the date the thesis is delivered to them and takes the student to the thesis defense exam.
4. The exam is held on the day, place and time determined by the head of the relevant department and announced by the department at least three days in advance.

ARTICLE 42

1. Before the defense of the master's thesis and in the thesis for which correction is given, the student completes the thesis with the correction and presents it to his/her advisor. The advisor submits the thesis to the institute with his/her opinion that the thesis is defensible. The Institute receives the plagiarism software program report related to the thesis and sends it to the advisor and jury members. If a real plagiarism is detected in the data in the report, the thesis is sent to the institute board of directors for a decision together with its justification. The members of the jury meet within one month at the latest from the date the thesis is delivered to them and take the student to the thesis exam.
2. The thesis defense exam consists of the presentation of the thesis work followed by a question-answer section. The thesis exam is held in an environment open to the participation of lecturers, graduate students and experts in the field.
3. Substitute members are invited by the head of the relevant department to replace the original jury members who could not attend the defense exam due to an excuse. The defense examination cannot be made with a missing member and without the thesis advisor. For the exam that could not be held on the announced day, the situation is determined with a report and notified to the related institute by the department, and a new exam date is determined and a second exam is held within fifteen days. The institute board of directors decides on the action to be taken on the juries that cannot meet for the second time.
4. After the thesis defense examination is completed, the jury decides on acceptance, rejection, or revision of the thesis by unanimous or absolute majority, in the absence of the audience. This decision, together with the individual thesis evaluation reports of the jury members, is notified to the institute by the head of the relevant department within three working days following the thesis exam.
5. The student, whose thesis is accepted, submits the thesis, which has been finalized with the suggestions of the jury members, to the institute within one month at the latest. If the theses are not delivered within one month, graduation procedures are not carried out, and the board of directors can extend the delivery period for a maximum of one more month upon request. Students who do not fulfill these conditions cannot receive their diploma, cannot benefit from student rights, and are dismissed if the maximum period expires.
6. Provided that you are successful in the thesis defense exam and meet the other conditions, at least three bound copies of the master's thesis and a CD record, documents and documents deemed necessary by the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education are submitted to the relevant institute within one month from the date of the thesis defense exam. A master's degree with a thesis is given to a master's student whose thesis is found appropriate in terms of form. Date of graduation; For students enrolled in the main art program, the application exam date after the thesis exam, for students enrolled in other programs, is the thesis defense exam date when the thesis is accepted.
7. The student, whose thesis is decided to be corrected, is given a maximum of three months to make the necessary corrections. During this period, the student makes the necessary corrections and defends his thesis again in front of the same jury at the date and place notified to the institute by the head of the department.
8. The thesis of the candidate who does not submit his thesis by not making the necessary arrangements or is rejected in the defense after correction is considered unsuccessful and his record is deleted.
9. If the student whose thesis is rejected makes a request and a non-thesis master's program is open in the field he is enrolled in, a non-thesis master's diploma is given to him on the condition that he fulfills the course credit load and project writing requirements of the non-thesis master's program.
10. On the master's diploma with thesis, the approved name of the program in the department of the institute followed by the student is found. If there is a program or branch of science in the relevant department, its name can be indicated in parentheses at the end of the department.

Computer Engineering graduates are employed in various public and private sector organizations to work on software, hardware, telecommunications, control and automation, research and development, systems, defense industry, aviation automation simulation. In addition, many of our graduates continue their postgraduate education at universities in Turkey and abroad and continue their careers as teaching staff at universities.
